‘Only in Dreams’ screened on national television on Ovation TV after receiving their Viewer’s Choice award, broadcasted on PBS’s Reel 13 program in New York and screened at the Bing Theater in the Los Angeles Country Museum of Art (where director Adam Badlotto was present for a live Q&A).
Over 3,000 images created on a flatbed scanner explore the relationship between sight and sound.
Random objects were scanned to create a sequence of stop-motion animations. Manipulating the objects during the scanning process created distorted imagery in real-time.
